Disney World Attractions - An Overwhelming Amount Of FunFor anyone vacationing in Orlando, the major highlight is most likely going to consist of Disney World attractions. And that leaves you facing the fascinating problem of trying to figure which of the hundreds of attractions you want to visit and in what order to do it. More likely than not, the Magic Kingdom will be your first stop and with over 40 attractions, it will keep you busy. The Magic Kingdom is, like all Disney theme parks, divided up into various themed areas - Fantasyland, FrontierLand, AdventureLand and TomorrowLand. Naturally each area has its own themed rides. Disney's careful selection of attractions and theme parks can work very well for a visitor who does a little planning. After a mad and exciting day running around the Magic Kingdom, you can spend a more relaxed evening dining at EPCOT and watching the spectacular fireworks displays. Or after a few days at Disney-MGM studios and the Magic Kingdom, the less hectic and more relaxing attractions at Disney World's Animal Kingdom and EPCOT could a sweet relief and give you chance to recharge your energy. One of the things that makes Disney World attractions so popular is the continuous effort put into updating and imagineering (a real Disney created verb suggesting imaginative engineering) their current attractions and creating new ones. With continual monitoring, Disney knows which attractions are no longer popular and need to be replaced or updated and which are strong favorites. Of course, some rides have remained favorites since the Magic Kingdom first opened in 1971 and perhaps some of the children enjoying them today are the grand children of some of the park's first visitors. As well as the four theme parks, Disney World attractions include Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney in Orlando. The bars, clubs and restaurants are attractions themselves and Downtown Disney now boasts Cirque du Soleil, shopping and dining and the ever popular DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park. And if you do decide to go to Pleasure Island, you might want to pick up a little information on it before - just to reduce the surprise and possible confusion. As if all this weren't enough, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, Disney's two water parks are there for the wetter side of fun. You choose from a gentler ride in a rubber ring to a vertical water drop among other attractions at these parks. An added plus is the provision of areas for parents to relax while leaving their children secure in safe hands. So whether this is your first Disney trip, or you're an old hand, you can always find plenty of Disney World attractions that are just right for you. |
